Required Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience).



Required Qualifications:

• 3–6 years of relevant experience (capital analysis, IT financial governance, or similar)

• 1-2 years of experience with Microsoft CoPilot and AI (bots).

• Exposure to large-scale software projects and compliance frameworks (FASB, GAAP)

• Experience with fixed assets, capital project management, or capital project budgeting preferred.

• Understanding of CapEx vs. OpEx principles and financial governance.

• Knowledge of IT project lifecycle and software implementation practices

• Experience with fixed assets, capital project management, or budgeting

• Familiarity with automation tools and AI for process optimization

• Comfort with reviewing contracts and Statements of Work

• Familiar with internal-use software.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams

• Ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative in complex scenarios



The Financial Analyst II will serve as a Capital Analyst within the Project Intake team, playing a critical role in evaluating software-related capital projects. This position ensures compliance with internal capitalization policies and supports accurate financial classification of project activities. The analyst acts as a liaison between project teams and Capital Asset Accounting (CAA), translating technical details into clear financial documentation for CapEx vs. OpEx determinations.



Responsibilities:

• Review incoming project requests for alignment with capital policy and strategic objectives

• Ability to develop and work in Microsoft CoPilot and AI (bots).

• Validate completeness of Statements of Work (SOWs) and supporting documentation

• Analyze project deliverables and costs to determine proper classification (CapEx vs. OpEx)

• Prepare clear documentation and recommendations for financial coding

• Partner with IT teams, Finance, and project managers to ensure accurate intake and classification

• Communicate findings and recommendations in clear, concise language for technical and non-technical audiences

• Ensure adherence to internal capital software policy and regulatory requirements (FASB, GAAP)

• Maintain accurate records for audit and reporting purposes

• Identify opportunities to streamline intake and classification workflows using automation and AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot)
