Job Description
Required Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.



Preferred Certifications

• Advanced coursework or professional certifications in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, or related disciplines.



Required Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, or financial analysis.

• Proven experience creating financial models, analyzing business performance, and supporting strategic decision-making.

• Experience preparing executive-level financial presentations and communicating insights to senior leadership.



Preferred Experience

• Experience supporting regulated utility organizations or similar highly regulated industries.

• Background serving as a financial business partner to operational or customer service teams.

• Experience providing financial guidance that influences business planning and operational outcomes.



Required Skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel for financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting.

• Power BI for dashboard creation, data visualization, and performance reporting.

• Strong PowerPoint skills for developing executive presentations.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to explain complex financial concepts to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.



Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of regulated utility accounting principles and financial reporting.

• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

• Experience supporting regulatory filings, financial testimony, or compliance-related financial activities.

• Ability to identify business risks and recommend financially sound solutions.



Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Customer Service and Operational Services teams to provide financial support and strategic guidance.

• Analyze monthly financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying key business drivers and variances.

• Develop financial models to support workforce planning, new initiatives, and business cases.

• Perform ad hoc financial and operational data analysis to support leadership decisions.

• Contribute financial analysis and documentation for GRC testimony and other regulatory initiatives.

• Prepare clear, data-driven reports and presentations for senior management and business stakeholders.
