Location: Houston TX 77002 - Hybrid schedule. Work from home Monday and Friday. Work onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
5/40 schedule. 5 days a week.

Our client is looking for an Environmental & Safety Law Legal Analyst located in Houston, Texas. The Environmental & Safety Law Legal Analyst will be a quick decision-maker operating in a fast-paced environment to support the team of Environmental & Safety Law in-house attorneys managing environmental and safety matters for all our businesses, operating units, and supporting departments. The selected candidate will work closely with our business clients, outside law firms, and outside parties – including environmental consultants and regulatory agencies.

Required Education:
• Bachelor's degree

Preferred Certifications:
• Paralegal certificate from ABA-approved program

Required Qualifications:
• Five plus (5+) years of paralegal experience
• MUST have experience handling environmental issues
• Regulatory, environmental and/or real property experience
• Experience in any regulatory or administrative law field
• Experience handling claims before litigation is filed is relevant
• Previous legal analyst experience
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of tools including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint, as well as legal research and matter management applications (including Lexis/Nexis)

Perform delegated paralegal tasks under the guidance and direction of attorneys, including but not limited to:
• Conducting factual research on environmental and property issues
• Conducting legal research and analysis on environmental regulations and laws
• Reviewing and analyzing environmental and legal reports
• Drafting contracts and correspondence
• Serving as a liaison with business clients and legal teams
• Issue spotting and communicating risks to business clients and attorneys
• Multi-tasking and prioritizing work assignments to consistently provide high-quality work product in a high growth and fast-paced work environment
