Position Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Enterprise Integration & Interoperability Architect to assess how data moves across enterprise systems, state agencies, public health partners, and external organizations.
This is an architecture assessment and modernization planning role, not a general integration development position. The successful candidate will evaluate existing integration patterns, interfaces, data exchanges, system dependencies, interoperability standards, and operational risks. The individual will document the current environment and recommend practical improvements to enterprise integration architecture and secure data sharing.
The ideal candidate combines enterprise integration architecture expertise with strong technical documentation and assessment skills. Healthcare or public health interoperability experience, particularly with HL7 and FHIR, is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities
• Assess enterprise integration architecture across priority systems and significant data exchanges.
• Inventory and evaluate APIs, point-to-point interfaces, secure file transfers, interface engines, enterprise service buses (ESBs), and manual data transfers.
• Document sending and receiving systems, exchange purposes, data types, transmission methods, frequencies, storage locations, and processing points.
• Develop enterprise data-flow maps, data lineage diagrams, integration topology documentation, data pipeline outlines, and data-sharing inventories.
• Assess integration monitoring, error handling, reliability, latency, duplication, and known failure points.
• Evaluate the use of healthcare interoperability standards, including Health Level Seven (HL7) and Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR).
• Assess secure transmission methods, approval mechanisms, integration dependencies, and relevant data-sharing agreements.
• Identify undocumented interfaces, informal exchanges, redundant integrations, and opportunities for reusable services.
• Develop integration gap analyses, standards alignment matrices, and interoperability readiness findings.
• Recommend near-term improvements and future integration principles aligned with enterprise architecture and modernization objectives.
• Collaborate with enterprise data architecture, governance, security, privacy, and analytics personnel.

  • **Only those lawfully authorized to work in the designated country associated with the position will be considered.**

  • **Please note that all Position start dates and duration are estimates and may be reduced or lengthened based upon a client’s business needs and requirements.**
