Laundry Washlab Technician Overview
· The Laundry Washlab Technician is an entry-level, onsite position focused on hands-on laundry product performance testing
· This role supports prototype assessment and advertising claim substantiation by executing established testing methodologies after proper training
· Responsibilities include preparing fabrics and stains, operating washing and drying equipment, following standard operating procedures, and generating data for scientists to analyze
· The position requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, good communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
· No degree is required, and this is not a research position

Job Duties
· Aid in the execution of laundry product performance testing for prototype assessment and/or advertising claim substantiation
· Execute routine testing methodologies, including stain removal and softening, with excellence once properly trained
· Learn and follow standard operating procedures for washing, drying, test preparation, staining, and related activities
· Independently prepare tests, including labeling fabrics and towels and preparing stains and fabrics
· Become knowledgeable and capable of executing all aspects of test procedures
· Operate instrumentation and automation
· Interact with test requesters to ascertain product information and any additional test design specifications, as needed
· Ensure stains are produced correctly, applied accurately, and that the final result is acceptable
· Maintain the cleanliness and order of the wash lab
· Generate and compile data for group scientists to analyze
· Assist in maintaining stock of laboratory supplies
· Work effectively in a team environment
· Maintain a clean and safe working environment
· Speak, read, and write English
