Experience Desired:
Automating Linux OS and software patches and upgrades across multiple environments using automations tools like Ansible (7+ yrs),
Experience (like branching merging configuring and administering) with BitBucket or GIT Source Code Management Tool (3+ yrs),
Experience in Automating build/deploy process including changes to database using tools like Ansible (7+ yrs),
Building and packaging applications with Docker and managing and scaling containerized workloads using Kubernetes (7+ yrs),
Experience developing automation scripts operational utilities and workflow scripts using Python/Bash/Shell (2+ yrs),
Experience in infrastructure provisioning configuration and environment management using Terraform and Ansible (4+ yrs),
Hands on experience developing and managing CI/CD (DevOps) pipeline using tools like Teamcity Jenkins Ansible (2+ yrs)
Job Description
***Only qualified Senior Automation engineer located near the Raleigh NC area to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence***
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE ABILITIES AND SKILLS:
• Experience with automating Linux OS and software patches and upgrades across multiple environments using automations tools like Ansible (7+ Years)
• Hands on Experience (like branching merging configuring and administering) with BitBucket or GIT Source Code Management Tool (3+ Years)
• Hands on experience in Automating build/deploy process including changes to database using tools like Ansible (7+ Years)
• Experience developing automation scripts operational utilities and workflow scripts using Python/Bash/Shell (7+ Years)
• Experience building and packaging applications with Docker and managing and scaling containerized workloads using Kubernetes (2+ Years)

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE ABILITIES AND SKILLS:
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Amazon web Services and infrastructure (2+ Years)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• The primary role is to lead Automation effort of infrastructure provisioning build and deploy activities for Client applications
• This position must demonstrate a solid understanding of AWS infrastructure and software release life cycle
• The role involves creating and maintaining Ansible playbooks troubleshooting automation issues ensuring consistent and reliable deployments across environments and collaborating with DevOps and application teams to enhance CI/CD workflows
• Strong knowledge of Linux Ansible Tower/AWX YAML automation best practices and infrastructure-as-code principles is required
• Experience with debugging deployments validating configurations and improving release reliability is a plus
• The position will work with IT management to improve the software engineering processes and practices associated with continuous integration and Continuous deployment (CI/CD) of application changes
• This position will interact with the architect’s developer’s deployment Team and Database Administrators to ensure automation of various tasks
• This position is required to be on call for evenings and weekends as required to meet business needs
