Summary

Seeking a Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Technician to support workplace safety, emergency preparedness, employee training, and compliance initiatives across its St. Louis-area operations.

This position is ideal for a proactive, people-oriented professional who enjoys a combination of computer-based work, hands-on safety activities, and collaboration with employees and safety leaders. You will help maintain safety programs, coordinate emergency response equipment, support inspections, update procedures, and promote a strong culture of workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and diagnostics of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) and coordinate repairs, calibration, and maintenance of emergency response equipment.

• Support First Aid, CPR, AED, and emergency response training for employees and emergency response volunteers.

• Assist with workplace safety inspections, incident prevention committees, safety campaigns, and follow-up on reported hazards and near misses.

• Review hazardous work permits, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, contractor safety documentation, and training records.

• Update safety procedures, emergency action plans, emergency maps, training presentations, and written programs using revised templates and current documentation.

• Collaborate with HSE specialists, managers, vendors, employees, and cross-functional teams to support site safety goals.

Work Environment

Candidates must be comfortable moving equipment, organizing storage areas, and lifting approximately 25–40 pounds as needed. Flexibility is important because urgent safety or emergency response priorities may require a change in daily assignments.

  • **Please note that all Position start dates and duration are estimates and may be reduced or lengthened based upon a client’s business needs and requirements.**
