Job Description
Required Education
• High School Diploma, HSED, or GED
Required Skills
• 5+ years of Project Management (e.g., understanding engineering concepts and document flow)
• 5+ years providing services on major construction programs
• 5+ years of experience in a Document Control environment in an engineering or construction company, oil and gas, or within a utility
• 3+ years of experience in Microsoft Office products and Adobe Professional
• Experience with scanning and printing using OCE plotters
• Experience working in an electronic Document Management System
Job Responsibilities
• 50% – Supervise and participate in Document Control functions (document fulfillment, release, change, and archiving)
• 50% (continued) – Audit incoming documents for consistency and accuracy
• Coordinate with Field Operations for collecting, inputting, and filing data/reports related to Site Inspectors
• Maintain orderly, up-to-date document files ready for audit at all times
• Maintain project document logs
• Prepare and maintain the Document Management Plan
• 25% – Provide for the development and maintenance of document control systems to track product documentation throughout its life cycle
• Ensure appropriate systems track all facets of Document Control functions
• Audit document releases for accuracy and proper storage/archiving
• Coordinate and communicate changes in document control functions and processes
• 25% – Supervise and provide direction, training, and feedback to assigned personnel (approximately three Document Control Specialists)
• Identify and recommend staffing needs; prepare/update job descriptions
