Job Description
Note: Candidate should be at commutable distance (within 50 miles max). Some initial travel (up to 15%) may be required to assist with centralization efforts.
Education:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Additional Coursework:
• Additional coursework or training in Transportation, Logistics, or Customer Service preferred
Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
• Minimum 6 months of dispatch, logistics, transportation, or customer service experience
• Strong communication skills via phone, email, and two-way communication devices
• Experience handling customer inquiries, service requests, and problem resolution
• Ability to multitask and manage high-volume calls in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in data entry, ticket management, and computer applications
• Skilled in route coordination, scheduling, and dispatch operations
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to learn and utilize proprietary software systems effectively
• Experience collaborating with drivers, route managers, and operations teams
• Customer service experience in call-center or operational support environments preferred
Job Summary:
• Communicates back and forth with Client Drivers to assist with problem resolution while on route for residential, commercial and roll-off lines of business. Handles incoming service orders, directs drivers, and resolves service issues. Interacts with customers that includes Client customer service, sales, and operational staff (i.e. Route Managers, Mechanics etc.). Uses Client proprietary software to enter ticket information and track activity. Shifts vary with the potential for overtime and Saturday hours depending particular site needs.
Responsibilities:
• Dispatch drivers based on customer requests, driver locations, and route efficiency
• Coordinate with routing specialists, route managers, and service teams to optimize daily routes
• Assign and manage service tickets and driver schedules for current and next-day operations
• Handle incoming customer service and sales requests via phone and email
• Ensure timely pick-up and container delivery services, including same-day response
• Communicate with drivers in the field to resolve service and pick-up issues
• Troubleshoot delivery and collection problems before escalation
• Coordinate driver movement to address missed pick-ups and urgent service requests
• Record and distribute operational updates and driver information to relevant departments
• Serve as a communication point between dispatch and maintenance teams regarding operational issues
• Maintain accurate documentation and service records using proprietary software systems
• Provide professional customer support while managing multiple tasks and systems simultaneously - **Only those lawfully authorized to work in the designated country associated with the position will be considered.**
