Overview:
The Order to Cash Collection Analyst is responsible for collections of outstanding accounts receivable dollars from the existing client base and all other aspects of collections, resolving customer billing problems, and reducing accounts receivable delinquency. This role manages a digital collections portfolio of approximately $100M, supports customer requests, investigates and resolves disputes, works closely with billing and cash application teams, handles credit applications and credit line evaluation, prepares refund requests, supports cash forecast models, and assists with OTC projects and reconciliations.
Job Duties
• Oversee and manage a Digital Collections portfolio of approximately $100M, including actively resolving discrepancies and translating to cash
• Perform follow-ups on accounts with significant aging or past due amounts
• Support customer ad hoc requests such as statement of accounts, invoice copies, backup documentation, and account reconciliations
• Investigate and resolve customer disputes and issues by working with Client Services, Sales Teams, and other departments
• Work closely with the Billing Analyst on invoices that need to be re-billed
• Meet individual cash collection targets including aging, DSO, and percent overdue
• Provide immediate escalation of concerns such as changes in customer payment trends
• Assist in A/R-related special projects including unapplied cash reconciliations, trends, discrepant reports, and accounts at risk
• Support the Cash Application team in the account reconciliation process
• Review credit applications from clients applying for credit
• Perform credit line evaluation, monitor payment patterns, and order review
• Set up credit files and send applications to outside payment vetting service
• Assist the collection team on collection issues such as providing contact information
• Prepare digital refund requests
• Work with management to provide accurate cash forecast models
• Reconcile accounts on a timely basis by quickly and consistently following up on unidentified cash receipts and credits
• Support OTC projects such as sending discrepant reports to Sales, updating Check Expected Reports, and reconciling aged transactions
Specific Details to call attention to.
• Oracle experience is nice to have, not required
• Experience in the online entertainment industry is nice to have
• Avoid medical collections backgrounds; the team has seen poor transitions from that experience
• GE Appliances accounts payable candidates have worked well in the past
• Strong Excel skills, especially pivot tables and VLOOKUPs, are critical
