Job Description

•Strong experience with either Databricks or Starburst.
•Strong understanding of database migrations and architecture is required.

Preferred Qualifications
•Experience collaborating with data analytics and engineering teams.
•Experience supporting scalable, modern data ecosystems.
•Snowflake, Data Catalog, and Apache Iceberg experience are nice to have.

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Oracle DBA/ Database Engineer to manage and integrate a hybrid data landscape. This role requires hands-on expertise with on-premise Oracle databases, Starburst for data federation, and private cloud-hosted platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks. The ideal candidate will have deep practical experience with Apache Iceberg and be responsible for ensuring interoperability across multiple data platforms. You will administer and optimize hybrid database environments, implement data federation solutions, and maintain high-performance, highly available systems. This position requires expertise in data modeling, cross-platform integration, and performance tuning while collaborating closely with data analytics and engineering teams to support a scalable, modern data ecosystem. The successful candidate will bring strong technical expertise, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and extensive experience managing enterprise-scale hybrid data environments.

Job Duties
•Administer and maintain on-premise Oracle databases.
•Administer and maintain private cloud instances of Snowflake and Databricks.
•Manage and optimize Starburst to provide a unified, high-performance data federation layer.
•Ensure seamless data integration between on-premise and cloud systems.
•Perform performance tuning and optimization across hybrid data platforms.
•Maintain high availability of database and data platform environments.
•Collaborate with data analytics and engineering teams to build and support a scalable, modern data ecosystem.
