Job Description
Required Education:
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field of study; or equivalent education, training & experience.

Required experience:
• Expert knowledge of middleware platforms such as, but not limited to, web application servers like IIS, WebSphere, WebLogic, Tomcat, and Apache
• Expert knowledge of business intelligence platforms such as Cognos, Tableau, and OBIEE
• Expert knowledge of integration platforms such as TIBCO, SSAS, SSRS, SSIS, and Informatica
• Expert knowledge of mobile computing platforms, including SOA and security confirmation and management of those platforms
• Experience with first- and third-party cloud hosting solutions such as VMware, Amazon Web Services, and Microsoft Azure
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of a broad range of management, compute, and networking technologies
• Advanced knowledge of Windows, VMware, and UNIX-based operating systems
• Experience in platform operations engineering and providing technical expertise in support of the engineering design process
• Experience analysing performance of components and systems to troubleshoot, evaluate performance, and determine capacity
• Experience using root cause analysis, corrective actions, tactical planning, and strategic planning to correct problems, improve response times/methods, and lead long-term investment plans required to provide sufficient support for IT services to the business
• Experience ensuring infrastructure remains in compliance with configurations, patches, and approved designs
• Experience participating in, leading, and owning change management processes to properly execute changes with minimum impact to services provided
• Experience improving and automating change processes
• Experience providing Tier 3 expert support to IT peers to properly support IT infrastructure on a 24x7 basis, including on-call duties, shift work, and emergency support
• Experience with vendor coordination and business coordination
• Experience mentoring A and B levels on complex issues impacting infrastructure and TVA business processes
• Ability to travel to various locations away from the primary work site

Job Responsibilities:
• Serves as the client’s technical expert in platform operations engineering and provides daily authoritative advice in support of the engineering design process
