Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Architect / Data Migration Lead to lead data architecture, migration, conversion, validation, and reconciliation activities for the modernization of an enterprise School Finance system.
The successful candidate will design the target data architecture, analyze legacy data, develop source-to-target mappings, oversee ETL/ELT processes, perform data cleansing and validation, and ensure historical and current data is migrated accurately and completely.
Key Responsibilities
• Design the target database schema and data architecture.
• Analyze existing legacy databases and data structures.
• Develop the data migration and conversion strategy.
• Develop detailed source-to-target data mappings.
• Design and implement ETL/ELT processes.
• Develop migration and conversion scripts.
• Perform data profiling and cleansing.
• Validate migrated data for completeness and accuracy.
• Develop reconciliation processes and reports.
• Reconcile financial totals, records, historical data, and calculation results.
• Identify and document migration exceptions.
• Develop migration logs and validation reports.
• Support migration sequencing and cutover planning.
• Develop rollback and contingency strategies.
• Develop and maintain the data dictionary.
• Support data governance, security, and data-quality requirements.
• Support SQL/database optimization.
