Description:
Summary:
• We are seeking an experienced ALM Subsurface Production Technologist to provide data analytics, reporting, visualization, and technical workflow support for the Asset Lifecycle Management (ALM) Subsurface team.
• This role is responsible for developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards, automating business processes through Python and SQL, supporting regulatory reporting requirements, and ensuring data quality across production and subsurface datasets. The primary accountabilities are data and analytics, Power BI development and maintenance, Python and SQL automation, data quality and visualization, New Mexico regulatory reporting, P&A package development, wellbore documentation and AFE generation and tracking.
• The position also supports Plug and Abandonment (P&A) activities through documentation, wellbore diagram preparation, AFE generation, and program tracking.
Responsibilities
Data Analytics, Visualization & Automation
• Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports to support operational and business decision-making.
• Create and support Python and SQL solutions for workflow automation, data validation, and recurring reporting processes.
• Transform complex production, subsurface, and operational datasets into actionable insights and visualizations.
• Support data source migrations, reporting enhancements, and dashboard optimization initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through process standardization and automation.
Data Stewardship & Quality Management
• Maintain data integrity and accuracy across production, well test, allocation, and regulatory datasets.
• Perform data validation and reconciliation activities to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Support development and enhancement of automated data quality and validation processes.
• Document business rules, data definitions, and reporting methodologies.
• Serve as a data steward to ensure confidence in reporting and analytical outputs.
Regulatory Reporting
• Prepare, validate, and submit regulatory reports in compliance with applicable state and company requirements.
• Maintain reporting databases, compliance trackers, and audit-ready documentation.
• Investigate and resolve data issues that may impact compliance reporting.
• Develop reporting tools and dashboards that improve regulatory visibility and reporting accuracy.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate submission of required reports.
Plug & Abandonment (P&A) Support
• Develop and maintain P&A packages and associated technical documentation.
• Prepare wellbore diagrams, technical summaries, and supporting records.
• Generate and maintain Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) documentation.
• Coordinate technical, operational, and financial inputs required for package approvals.
• Track P&A activities and maintain supporting program management tools.
