Job Description
Required Education

• Degree Requirement: AAS (Associate of Applied Science) or Bachelor's degree required.

• Experience Level: 2-4 years of experience required.

• Internship Policy: Internships are accepted as job experience if they were in a relevant field.

• Disqualification: Candidates with a Master's degree will be disqualified (considered overqualified).



Required Skills

• Proficiency with use of Microsoft Office base programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Advanced Excel Experience: Specifically pivot tables and formula creation & execution.

• Ability to complete detailed data analysis.

• Basic knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, and models.

• Basic knowledge of relevant computer application software.



Technical Skills (Desired/Preferred):

• Mechanical print reading.

• Manufacturing experience.

• Compliance experience.



Soft Skills (Required):

• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

• Good organizational and time management skills.

• Creativity and analytical ability.

• Team player and detail oriented.

• Self-directed and motivated (ability to work with high-level leadership but manage own tasks).



Job Responsibilities

• Request Tracking: Participate in receiving and tracking Caterpillar substance compliance customer requests.

• Data Analysis: Conduct substance analysis processes using Caterpillar material specifications (specifically 1E material specifications).

• Metrics Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance of metrics regarding Chemical Management customer requests.

o Support tool and database development by providing end user needs for system requirement development.

o Specific tools mentioned: Material Content Tool, 1ESpec Libraries, TcSC, CDS, SnowFlake.

• Collaboration: Work closely with team members and project leads to identify workload priorities, changes in work requirements, updates to governing standards, and customer needs.
