Required Qualifications / Skills / Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in data governance

• Minimum 5 years of experience in compiling and computing data according to statistical formulas for use in data analytics and/or statistical studies

• Strong data analysis and data visualization skills

• High-level competency in Excel (advanced formulas, macros, etc.)

• Expertise in relational database management systems, SQL, and data modeling.

• Experience with data platforms for data quality and data cataloguing/metadata management (e.g., Informatica, Collibra, Alation)

• Experience with modern cloud technologies (e.g., Salesforce, Snowflake)

• Ability to develop metrics, reports, and presentations

• Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical specifications

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality work output



Data Governance Analyst Overview:

The Data Governance Analyst is responsible for supporting data governance initiatives, including data quality, data cataloguing, and metadata management. The role involves working closely with stakeholders across the organization to support data-driven projects and ensure proper documentation, analysis, and governance of data assets. Responsibilities include conducting data analysis, preparing business requirements, and developing documentation to support data governance processes. The position requires strong analytical and technical skills, with the ability to work with complex data sets, automate processes, and contribute to data governance forums and initiatives while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives



Job Duties:

• Assist divisions in data governance processes, including data quality, data cataloguing, and related activities

• Coordinate with data governance stakeholders, collect status updates, and prepare status reports and presentations

• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to support assigned projects and initiatives

• Conduct data analysis, prepare data definitions, document data usage, and develop business requirements

• Develop documentation including reference guides, how-to documents, summaries, reports, meeting minutes, and policy documentation

• Contribute to data governance forums, facilitate project meetings, and support collaboration efforts

• Compile and compute data according to statistical formulas for use in statistical studies

• Perform actuarial computations and prepare charts and graphs as needed

• Work with complex data sets to identify issues, recommend solutions, and apply analytical and statistical approaches

• Automate manual processes and reporting using technical expertise

• Collaborate with business users and analysts to develop analytical strategies for projects

• Perform other duties as assigned
