Job Description

Required Education:
• Understudies in Finance, Business Administration, Insurance, Economics, Communications, or a related discipline.
Preferred Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Insurance, Economics, Communications, or a related discipline.
Required Qualifications:
• At least 1 year of experience in customer service, client support, sales, financial services, insurance, or a related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex product, plan, and regulatory information clearly.
• Working knowledge of computers and common office software.
• Ability to analyze customer inquiries, identify root causes, and provide accurate first-contact resolution when possible.
• Ability to follow applicable FINRA regulations, company policies, plan documents, and state and local laws.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with insurance products, financial services, retirement plans, or investment products.
• FINRA Series 6 and/or Series 26 licenses.
• ChFC, CLU, or other relevant financial services industry designation.
• Experience supporting investment professionals, plan sponsors, members, or financial advisors.
• Knowledge of plan/contract features, fees, tax implications, surrender charges, death benefits, lifetime income, and capital preservation.
• Experience using consultative customer service and problem-solving techniques.
Responsibilities:
• Respond to incoming calls from investment professionals, plan sponsors, and members regarding products, plans, contracts, fees, and account inquiries.
• Interpret and apply changes and enhancements across current and legacy products.
• Analyze customer questions to identify underlying needs and provide consultative solutions.
• Document customer interactions accurately and maintain appropriate records.
• Educate customers on applicable product features, tax implications, penalties, surrender charges, benefits, and plan provisions.
• Research and resolve customer issues, escalating complex matters to internal partners when necessary.
• Ensure all interactions comply with FINRA requirements, company policies, plan documents, and applicable laws.
• Apply lean problem-solving practices and participate in team meetings and process-improvement activities.
• Build product and regulatory knowledge through ongoing development and leadership coaching. - **Only those lawfully authorized to work in the designated country associated with the position will be considered.**
