Required Qualifications:

• Three years’ work experience with two years product-related customer service work experience preferred

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Customer-service and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to prioritize and manage assigned workload within established standards.

• Ability to research information, evaluate problems, make decisions, and determine appropriate customer actions.

• Basic mathematics and recordkeeping skills.

• Ability to operate a PC/CRT and standard office systems.

• Ability to process transactions accurately within assigned authority limits.



Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in insurance, annuities, mutual funds, or financial services.

• Knowledge of insurance/financial product administration and processing systems.

• Experience supporting agents, brokers, service centers, sales support teams, and external customers.

• Familiarity with federal and state regulations affecting assigned products.

• FINRA Series 6 and/or Series 26, when applicable.

• LOMA, CLU, or ChFC coursework/certification.



Responsibilities:

• Respond promptly and efficiently to customer, broker, agent, government agency, and internal service-center inquiries.

• Communicate with policyholders, agencies/brokerages, service centers, sales-support teams, internal business units, and other industry organizations through oral and written channels.

• Assist customers with financial and monetary transactions in accordance with applicable policy provisions and authorization limits.

• Consult, research, and interpret current and historical contract/product provisions for policyholders, agents, brokers, and internal operating units.

• Maintain current knowledge of insurance products, contract provisions, processing systems, and applicable federal/state regulations.

• Identify and resolve routine errors through appropriate corrective processing.

• Review records and reports, conduct research, analyze inquiries, and make accurate decisions.

• Identify situations requiring advanced technical expertise or exception processing and escalate to lead team members when appropriate.

• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
