Job Description
Qualifications:

•10+ years of experience in privacy, data protection, and/or information handling within complex, global organizations (financial services strongly preferred)

•Deep expertise in global privacy and data protection laws and regulations (including U.S., Latin America, Canada, EMEA, and APAC)

•Significant experience supporting or leading DLP, insider threat, employee monitoring, surveillance, or cybersecurity programs

•Strong understanding of AI/GenAI, Machine Learning (ML), and Large Language Models (LLMs) and associated privacy, data, and ethical risks

•Experience working with enterprise collaboration/synergy platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365) and data governance controls

•Proven ability to operate at a strategic level, influencing senior stakeholders and driving global initiatives

•Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (JD, MBA, or related field) strongly preferred.

•Required certifications: CIPP (e.g., CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPP/A)



The hiring manager is seeking a senior-level Contingent Worker (VP-equivalent) to support the Global Privacy and Information Handling Compliance Team. Reporting to the Director of Global Privacy Governance, this role will serve as a strategic privacy leader embedded within global cybersecurity initiatives. The individual will play a critical role in shaping and executing Bank’s global Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Employee Surveillance, Insider Threat, and Threat Intelligence programs, ensuring privacy, data protection, and AI governance requirements are embedded by design across all regions. This role requires deep expertise in global privacy laws, advanced cyber/data monitoring capabilities, and emerging technologies including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI (GenAI), Machine Learning (ML), and Large Language Models (LLMs).



Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership – Global DLP, Cyber & AI

•Serve as a senior privacy advisor across global cybersecurity programs, including DLP, employee monitoring, insider threat, and threat intelligence

•Lead the privacy strategy and governance framework for monitoring and surveillance technologies, ensuring alignment with global legal and regulatory requirements

•Provide thought leadership on privacy risks associated with AI/GenAI, ML, and LLMs, including data usage, model training, outputs, and monitoring implications

•Drive privacy-by-design integration into cybersecurity tools, controls, and enterprise platforms, including collaboration/synergy environments

•Partner with senior stakeholders across Cybersecurity, Technology, Legal, Risk, and Compliance



Privacy Program Oversight & Execution

•Oversee and lead complex Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs/DPIAs) for related global initiatives, including advanced analytics and AI-enabled solutions

•Advise on and help resolve high-risk or complex information handling matters, including escalation and regulatory considerations

•Guide the development and enhancement of global privacy policies, standards, procedures, and control frameworks



Global Risk, Regulatory & Governance

•Interpret and operationalize evolving global privacy, data protection, and AI regulations into scalable, risk-based controls

•Lead and enhance global privacy risk assessments, control testing, and monitoring programs in coordination with Compliance and Risk teams

•Develop executive-level reporting, metrics, and dashboards to communicate privacy and cyber risk exposure and program effectiveness

•Influence and support enterprise-wide governance frameworks for data handling, monitoring, and emerging technologies

•Oversee development of training strategies and content related to privacy, cyber monitoring, and AI risk
