Job Description
***Only qualified “Distribution Associate” candidates located near the “Covington, Georgia” area will be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence***



Required Education

* High school diploma or GED preferred but not required



Required Experience

* One year of relevant experience

* Experience with material handling equipment

* General distribution experience



Tech Skills

* RF scanner technology

* Material handling equipment operation

* Electric pallet jack operation

* Barcode scanning

* Ability to read and interpret distribution documents

* Basic analytical skills

* Basic organizational skills

* Basic prioritization skills

* Ability to operate ground and manual manifest stations

* Ability to operate shrink wrapping equipment



Soft Skills

* Ability to maintain accuracy during order processing

* Ability to prioritize tasks effectively

* Ability to support other warehouse positions as needed

* Ability to provide backup coverage during employee absences and vacations

* Ability to work effectively in a distribution environment



Responsibilities

* Process customer orders by scanning barcodes picking cases and labeling boxes

* Palletize orders by scanning retrieving and placing completed orders on pallets

* Process orders using RF technology

* Verify order accuracy and complete shipment packaging

* Perform dock manifest duties including scanning completed pallets and operating shrink wrapping equipment as needed

* Operate ground and manual manifest stations as needed

* Become knowledgeable of responsibilities associated with other warehouse positions

* Assist with other warehouse activities as required

* Provide backup coverage during employee absences and vacations



Physical Demands

* Regularly walk stand stoop kneel balance crouch reach push pull grasp hear twist and lift

* Frequently use hands to finger handle feel pick or type including repetitive motion of the wrists hands or fingers

* Occasionally climb

* Lift over 50 pounds in some areas

* Maintain normal field of vision corrected to 20/40 in each eye

* Maintain sufficient hearing to safely operate material handling equipment in a manufacturing or distribution environment



Work Environment

* Work in a moderate to loud noise environment

* Work near moving mechanical equipment

* Work in potentially precarious situations

* Work with potential temperature variations

* Occasionally work around fumes or airborne particles
