Job Description
Category Manager / Contract Advisor for contract hire for a 6-12-month work, starting in September/October .

Ideal candidates will be based in Houston with prior category management experience or prior experience already contracting with our client.



Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Work with business owners to develop robust scope of work

• Category strategy and sourcing

• Draft, negotiate, and execute FM service agreements.

• Negotiate pricing structures, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), liability and indemnification terms, insurance requirements, termination rights, and performance credits and penalties

• Ensure contracts appropriately allocate risk and protect the company.

• Manage strategic FM suppliers and preferred vendors.

• Conduct quarterly business reviews (QBRs).

• Monitor supplier performance against contractual KPIs.

• Resolve service issues and disputes.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives.

• Benchmark market pricing.

• Ensure supplier compliance with regulatory requirements, health and safety standards, environmental, policies, and company governance requirements

• Support audits and corrective action plans.

• Partner closely with Corporate Real Estate, Workplace Services, Facility Managers, Operations teams, Finance, Legal, HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) etc.

• Translate stakeholder requirements into contracts and work orders.

• Present recommendations to leadership and executives.



The Facilities Management (FM) scope is global and includes, but not limited to, the areas below.

• Hard Services (HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing)

• Soft Services (janitorial, pest control, landscaping)

• Security services

• Waste management

• Mailroom and workplace services

• Building maintenance

• Energy management

• Space management and moves/adds/changes

• Catering and food services
