Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience
• Experience with SAP EC Payroll desired, or with a large-scale ERP required
• Experience with ERP system configuration and implementation
• Five years’ experience with high volume union data
• Demonstrated experience in interpreting payroll processing results and costing in General Ledger
• Strong knowledge of current compensation rules
• Must be detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills
• Proficiency with advanced Excel formulas and pivot tables; comfort with data access software and query reporting tools
• Comfort with working in Zoom, Teams and ability to train or review work in them

Overview:
This role is responsible for contract payroll union management, supporting large-scale payroll operations across multiple unions and employer contribution structures. The position requires strong ERP knowledge, advanced Excel ability, and the confidence to work through union communication, costing, audits, reconciliations, and system support in a fast-paced environment.
Job Duties
• Process weekly and monthly Union Dues and Union employer contributions payments for numerous different unions with strict deadlines
• Work with centralized PTP group to confirm all payments are complete and reconcile payment requests to weekly payment reports
• Provide union with supporting documents on scheduled basis after weekly and monthly payments are processed
• Review and maintain employee union dues withholding, 401k, and Flexible Spending elections on timely basis as received from the Unions or Divisional Operations teams
• Maintain Payroll setup in ERP system for multiple union dues and contributions tables; work with IT support for changes and testing
• Support data verification and troubleshoot errors of payroll earnings and dues for Union employees and employer contributions
• Maintain relationships with Labor Relations Department and Divisional Operations teams to resolve employee and Union inquiries/discrepancies
• Research and complete external Union or Union Pension/Health Plan requests for employee information or verification of payments processed
• Reconcile weekly Union Interface files sent to completed Union payments processed
• Provide standard and ad hoc reporting requests for Division Accounting Departments
• Monthly reconciliation of Union payroll balance sheet accounts
• Manage and compile all annual Union audit data requests for Pension, Health or 401k employer contributions
• Maintain all Union contract employer contribution rates, including updating and testing payroll system configuration
• Process manual adjustments for union-related deductions and withholdings on ad hoc basis
• Special projects as assigned

• SAP EC Payroll is desired, but a large-scale ERP is required if SAP experience is not available
• Union payroll experience is required
• Large enterprise / multi-subsidiary payroll environment experience is highly preferred
• Advanced Excel and system navigation skills are essential
