Job Description
***Only qualified Technical Designer with experience in Women's Swimwear and/or Intimates candidates located near Manhattan, NY to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence. ***
Preferred Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Fashion, or equivalent experience
Required Skills:
• 5-9 years of solid Technical Design experience (mid-level) with intimates/swim background
• Experience participating in or owning their own fittings, able to write up fit comments & pattern corrections
• Centric training
• Proficiency in MS EXCEL, Adobe Illustrator, Flex PLM, etc.
Role:
Our client is the world's largest intimates' specialty retailer offering a wide assortment of modern, fashion-inspired collections, including signature bras, panties, lingerie, casual sleepwear, swim, and athleisure, as well as award-winning prestige fragrances and body care.
Individual contributor position responsible for executing the technical design process from development to final fit.
Responsibilities:
• Individual contributor position responsible for executing the technical design process from development to final fit
• Responsible for analyzing and evaluating garments to develop the correct fit specifications
• Ensures that products are developed in a manner consistent with established fit quality, standards, manufacturer capabilities, and cost specifications
• Develops technical specifications and communicates fit to vendors/factories for approvals and corrections
• Makes appropriate adjustments with factories as required to ensure the integrity of design-approved prototypes while monitoring quality and targeted price
• Typically reports to Technical Services Manager. Typically directs Assistant or Associate Technical Designers
