Job Description
***Only qualified Textile Coordinator candidates located near Manhattan, NY to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence. ***



Our client is the world's largest intimates' specialty retailer offering a wide assortment of modern, fashion-inspired collections including signature bras, panties, lingerie, casual sleepwear, swim and athleisure, as well as award-winning prestige fragrances and body care.



Preferred Education:

· Bachelor’s degree with a preferred concentration in apparel production management or equivalent experience.



Required Skills, Experience, & Abilities:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in print pattern, graphic product development, and/or sourcing.

• Experience in approving colors and layout for pattern and graphic strike offs.

• Prior knowledge of repeat of artwork, fabric content, printing machine type, and basic testing for QA.

• Prior knowledge of printing, yarn dyes, and graphic manufacturing.

• Prior knowledge of garment washing, garment dyeing, and fabric finishing.

• Working knowledge of printing process (understanding how print pattern and graphic development impacts the product development process through commercialization and applies knowledge to ensure business objectives are achieved).

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Excellent organizational skills and highly detail oriented.

• Excellent computer skills – Excel, Word, Outlook, PLM/Centric, and basic skills for Photoshop.

• Self-starter with ability to self-manage, and work in a team environment.

• Proactive and solution oriented.

• Domestic travel as required.

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite

• Proficient in Microsoft Office

• Ability to track readiness of product with overseas factories

• Background in design/graphic design a plus

• Ability to multitask- work on multi product seasons at once

• Ability to detail out a graphic to send to a factory to be made.



Responsibilities:

· Ensure all prints, patterns, and graphic packages/artwork are valid and viable for each region and vendor. Develop graphics according to seasonal sourcing strategy provided by Graphic partners.

· Ensure strike offs, handlooms, knit-downs are received in preparation for milestone meetings.

· Meet with Stylist and Design teams to review print, pattern, and graphics submits and partner with manager to provide comments on correction. Ensure prints, engineered graphics, and pattern placements are reviewed and approved in a timely manner with team managers and stylists team.

· Ensure all prints, patterns, and graphics are captured and tracked via seasonal PLM/Centric tracking chart (our main communication tool with global partners).

· Ensure all print, pattern, and graphic approvals are made by the drop-dead dates provided by seasonal calendar and production partners. If deadlines cannot be achieved, partner with manager on recommendations and clearly communicate with cross-functional partners.

· Follow up with textile technologist to ensure cross functional communication is appropriate and timely to avoid delivery, price, or quality issues.

· Follow up with Stylists, CAD artists, and vendors for printing techniques and limitations based on repeats, special layouts for the raw materials, and machine limitations.

· Support with Stylists and Managers to get final alignment for special strike offs for the prints.

· Manage fabric library for strike offs and reference files.
