Job Description
Required Qualifications / Skills / Experience:
• 9–10+ years of experience in enterprise resilience, business continuity, disaster recovery, or operational risk
• Hands-on experience conducting Business Impact Analyses (BIAs) and developing Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) and/or Disaster Recovery (DR) plans
• Experience with dependency mapping and identification of Single Points of Failure (SPOF)
• Strong ability to assess business impact and recovery strategy feasibility
• Knowledge of resilience frameworks and standards (ISO 22301, NIST, FFIEC, DORA, or similar)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to integrate quickly into cross-functional teams and environments
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications / Skills / Experience:
• Experience in regulated industries (financial services, healthcare, utilities, or technology)
• Professional certifications such as CBCP, CBCI, MBCP, or ISO 22301
• Experience in consulting or program uplift initiatives related to business continuity or resilience
• Experience working across both business and technology stakeholders
Enterprise Resilience Consultant Overview:
The Enterprise Resilience Consultant will support high-priority initiatives focused on strengthening organizational resilience, including Single Point of Failure (SPOF) remediation and Business Continuity (BC) program improvements. This role is execution-focused and requires hands-on involvement in assessing risk exposure, enhancing recovery strategies, and improving program effectiveness. The consultant will work collaboratively across business and technology teams in a fast-paced environment to deliver measurable outcomes within defined timelines.
Job Duties:
Single Point of Failure (SPOF) Initiatives
• Partner with business and technology teams to validate critical process dependencies
• Assess associated risk exposure and business impact of identified SPOFs
• Evaluate feasibility and effectiveness of proposed recovery strategies
• Support prioritization and execution of remediation actions, including risk mitigation and acceptance
• Deliver clear, actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership
Business Continuity Program Enhancements
• Review and assess existing business continuity plans for completeness and accuracy
• Identify gaps in alignment with real-world risk scenarios and operational needs
• Support implementation of testing and validation practices, including scenario-based exercises
• Partner with business units to improve plan quality, consistency, and effectiveness
• Track remediation progress and ensure closure of identified gaps
Cross-Functional Execution
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to drive resilience initiatives
• Translate analysis into clear remediation actions and prioritized outcomes
• Support continuous improvement of enterprise resilience capabilities
• Prepare and present findings, recommendations, and progress updates

• Ability to challenge and improve existing BC programs (not just maintain)
