Job Description
Only qualified Technical Designer (Accessories) candidates located near Manhattan, NY given in the job description area will be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence.



Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in design or equivalent experience



Qualifications-

• 5+ years of design experience in a comparable retail environment

• Exceptional commercial fashion eye with strong attention to detail in product styling and performance

• Demonstrated ability to create original design sketches and successful product lines

• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign

• Collaborative team-oriented approach with a strong customer service mindset

• Ability to champion change and react with speed and agility

• Highly motivated, passionate, and results-oriented

• Flexible creative problem solver with strong communication and presentation skills

• Willingness to travel domestically with minimal international travel



Responsibilities-

• Create brand-right commercial designs that reflect the conceptual direction and business strategy

• Develop product with a focus on style, functionality and material execution

• Deliver product designs with flawless execution achieving goals with speed agility and acute attention to detail

• Execute design sketches and prototypes and provide specifications

• Adapt designs based on feedback incorporating revisions for finalization

• Present designs to internal leaders and cross functional partners discussing trends and market awareness in digital decks and in person reviews

• Implement processes to anticipate customer needs and exceed expectations

• Identify and recommend resources for new ideas and conduct competitor research and trend analysis

• Collaborate with Merchandising and Product Development to maintain strong cross functional relationships

• Anticipate and solve potential issues providing conflict resolution

• Manage inspire and develop junior design talent

• Assess practices to improve efficiency and speed to delivery

• Ensure deliverables meet budget and timeline commitments without compromising design excellence
