• Ability to liaise with Accounting and Treasury groups on weekly cash flow reporting
• Ability to analyze and explain actual and forecast results
Preferred Qualifications/Skills/Experience
• 5+ years of progressive experience in a finance planning environment
• Working knowledge of Hyperion and Essbase
• Entertainment or media industry experience
• Experience identifying process improvements in data gathering and forecasting
• Experience managing risks and opportunities to support P&L and cash flow targets
Overview:
This Finance Consultant role supports the cash planning function for PPC, including treasury support, a weekly forecast shared with the FP&A team, budget work, long-range planning, and ad hoc FP&A tasks. The role is responsible for supporting the development and execution of a cash management strategy in line with company and industry best practices. It requires strong Excel skills, analytical thinking, finance and accounting knowledge, and cross-functional communication.
Job Duties
• Support planning activities for Film, including coordination with Business Units to prepare the Long Range Plan, annual Budget, forecast updates, and ad hoc analyses
• Assist with maintaining the company-wide cash planning model
• Prepare the rolling 13-week cash forecast, including actuals reconciliation and variance analysis
• Liaise with Accounting and Treasury groups to plan and report actual cash flow on a weekly basis
• Coordinate with Business Units to collect summaries and explanations of actual and forecast results
• Identify opportunities to streamline data-gathering and forecasting processes
• Assist in managing risks and opportunities to achieve P&L and cash flow targets
• Maintain and prepare Theatrical Cash Forecasting Model
• Maintain and prepare Physical and Digital Transactional Cash Forecasting Model
• Assist in preparation of ad hoc materials requested by internal management
