Job Description
Required Education:
• High School Diploma or equivalent AND 6+ years of safety experience in the construction or manufacturing industry OR
• 2-year or 4-year college degree AND 2+ years of EHS experience
Preferred Education:
• Bachelor’s degree required in Environmental, Health and Safety, or related field
Preferred Certifications (One Required) - Certification in one or more of the following disciplines is required:
• CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician)
• CSP (Certified Safety Professional)
• GSP (Graduate Safety Practitioner)
• COSS (Certified Occupational Safety Specialist)
• OSHA 510 (Occupational Safety and Health Standards for Construction)
• OSHA 500 (Trainer Course in Occupational Safety and Health Standards for Construction)
• OSHA 30 (Awareness course in hazard recognition for supervisors and workers)
Required Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
• Experience with and understanding of OSHA Construction and/or General Industry regulations
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work well in a collaborative environment
• Ability to work effectively with contractors and production associates
• Ability to effectively perform root cause analysis and implement countermeasures
• Effective planning and prioritization skills
• Reliable and flexible
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products
• Working knowledge of environmental compliance requirements
Preferred Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

Summary:
Primary responsibility will be observing and ensuring EHS compliance is taking place in the field. This assignment represents the L-H Battery EHS team and could lead to a full-time permanent position.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct field inspections and audits of LH Battery associates and contractors on-site
• Sign safety permits as representative of L-H Safety (Roof access permits, Line Break Permits, hot work permits, etc.)
• Requires 75-80% time in the field, 20-25% time for meetings and computer work
• Enters incident reports/observations in Gensuite Software as needed
• Ensures LH Battery and contractors conduct appropriate safety meetings, JHAs, PTPs, toolbox talks, attends required All-Hands meetings, and Weekly Safety meetings
• Leads All-Hands Safety meetings
• Ensures stop work is issued when unsafe conditions are present
• Ensures proper submission of appropriate paperwork to satisfy Site Safety Plan (SSP)
• Ensures contractors perform root cause investigations and corrective action implementation promptly as prescribed by the SSP
• Perform other duties as assigned

• This role requires up to 10% of travel (domestic, with potential international) - **Only those lawfully authorized to work in the designated country associated with the position will be considered.**
