• Customer Service background (written and verbal)

• Microsoft Office – Word (authoring correspondence), Excel (basic to intermediate), Outlook (required)



Preferred (but not required):

• 2-3 years of Insurance service experience

• Individual Supplemental insurance products background



This position is primarily responsible for analyzing, researching and responding to all service-related customer inquiries via letter, email, or fax. The role requires analytical thinking, decision making, crafting business correspondence, navigating multiple applications, and handling moderate to high complexity assignments.



Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze, research, and respond to all Policyholders' inquiries via business correspondence or email

• Understand customer requests, review policy administration systems, gather information to resolve customer needs and disputes

• Write communications that accurately describe outcomes with an appropriate business tone

• Provide support and handle internal Policyholder Service Center escalations or time-sensitive inquiries

• Conduct system transactions including policy accounting, policy record updates, and cancellations

• Accurately document back-office systems and upload documents to record storage databases

• Handle any other duties assigned by Manager, plus participate in team functions, meetings, and incentive programs

• Build broad understanding of products and systems

• Manage high volume processing output with focus on positive customer experience, balancing efficiency, timeliness, and quality within department SLA requirements

• Maneuver between system applications confidently to find information and respond to customer needs

• Collaborate with team leadership to ensure effective resolution of unfamiliar customer needs

• Support regulatory customer-facing work

• Handle special projects including company initiatives and cleanup activities

• Support or collaborate with other departments within Operations as needed
