•Experience in startup environments; able to work resourcefully and adapt quickly.
•Established media contacts in advertising verticals such as gaming, automotive, retail, and financial services.

Client is looking for a business communications contractor to support its customer advocacy and proactive storytelling. Successful candidates will have experience working cross functionally with sales, product and marketing stakeholders to tell customer stories in owned content and earned media opportunities. A candidate who has experience in the advertising industry or in a customer marketing role is preferred. The successful candidate will be able to build relationships with businesses and client account teams to source, develop and land compelling customer stories that demonstrate how client’s tools are helping businesses grow. Candidates will also help project manage product launch moments around industry events in partnership with the broader communications team.

Responsibilities :
•Source, develop and land customer success stories in owned content (blogs and social content).
•Cultivate proactive pitch ideas for press and maintain steady drumbeat of press outreach for customer success stories.
•Write content such as social posts, blogs, pitches, and other creative materials that evangelize various announcements and milestones.
•Develop communications plans for product launch moments and ensure customer advocates are included to bring the product impact to life.
•Project manage the pipeline of customer advocates globally, ensuring we are sourcing and preparing new success stories ahead of launch moments.
•Manage measurement and reporting for our global advocacy program and proactively provide weekly status updates.
•Support launch moments with event logistics and press outreach.
•Work with teams across the company including social, marketing, product, research, and legal.
•Build and maintain deep relationships with press, influencers and other external stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:
•5-8 years of experience in business communications, digital and/or product communications, or in a customer marketing role
•Bachelor's degree in Communications, English or related field
•Experience in program and project management

Preferred Qualifications:
•Passionate about the advertising industry and its impact on businesses of all sizes.
•Proven success executing impactful, creative communications and social programs
•Experience in financial, business and/or advertising PR
•Collaborate across multiple functions including sales, product, marketing, and more on communications plans

Typical Day-to-Day in the role
•Taking calls with sales orgs to get nominations for new advertisers
•Talking to advertisers to get the right story out
•Working with colleagues in product marketing to get details
•Sourcing and developing advocate stories
•Supporting product launch moments

How will performance be measured?
•Every piece of external content
•Sourcing clients through sales—pulling stories and tracking how they land
•Working with content studios to make content posts
•Quality and quantity of engagements
