Job Description
***Only qualified Oracle OCI cloud engineer candidates located near the Richmond, VA area will be considered due to the role requiring an onsite presence ***
Desired Certifications:
• Certification in Oracle technologies such as OCIP, OCP, or OCE
Required Skills:
• 10+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and related technologies
• Container Database (CDB) and Pluggable Database (PDB)Oracle database 12c (6 Years)
• Oracle database 11g (10 Years)
• Oracle grid control to include version 13c (7 Years)
• Oracle apex administration and support (5 Years)
• Oracle db migration from solaris to linux (database 12c/11g) (10 Years)
• Oracle database backup/restore/rman/dataguard (10 Years)
• Oracle performance tuning/database maintenance/management (10 Years)
• On-call production support (10 Years)
• PDB cloning
• WebLogic administration(patching/maintenance)
• Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 24ai
• PSU Patching oracle db using Fleet Management Tool
• Experience with DBaaS in OCI
• Proficiency in Gitlab and Ansible scripting
• Oracle dataguard
• Oracle Application Express 18 and higher(APEX)
• Oracle Rest Data Services 22 and higher (ORDS)
• Oracle WebLogic Server 14(both fusion middleware and weblogic suite)
• Oracle Database 19c and 26ai
Desired Skills:
• Oracle weblogic 12c/fusion middleware (7 Years)

• Windows/sql server/IIS administration (5 Years)
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, including the ability to use data for insights
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI

About the role: Database Administrator
Responsibilities:
• Design and manage Oracle OCI environments, including database, middleware, and infrastructure components
• Develop and maintain Oracle APEX applications and ORDS services
• Configure and administer Oracle WebLogic Server and related technologies
• Plan and execute database upgrades, migrations, and conversions
• Implement and manage backup, recovery, and replication strategies using RMAN and other tools
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and data protection
• Monitor and optimize database performance, implementing tuning recommendations
• Implement and automate routine tasks using shell scripting and tools like Ansible
• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to ensure seamless application deployment
• Proactively identify and resolve potential issues, providing timely support
• Document and train on best practices for Oracle OCI environment management.
***Candidate must participate in on-call rotation and some after-hours and weekend hours required based on workload***
