Job Description
Required Education
• High School Diploma.
Preferred Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
Preferred License/Certification
• AWS Certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, or similar)
Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience
• 5+ years of experience in cloud, platform, or systems engineering
• Strong experience designing and administering AWS environments (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3)
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments integrating AWS and on-prem systems
• Expertise in AWS IAM and RBAC for access control and security
• Experience migrating legacy systems to AWS, including roadmap and readiness assessments
• Strong troubleshooting skills for complex cloud, network, and identity issues
• Experience supporting escalated technical issues across infrastructure domains
• Knowledge of compute, storage, networking, and identity systems across hybrid environments
• Experience implementing backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation practices
• Strong documentation skills including architecture diagrams and operational procedures
• Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes
• Understanding of cost optimization strategies in cloud environments (FinOps)

• Supports senior technical resources in modernizing enterprise IT infrastructure across hybrid cloud environments
• Leads and contributes to infrastructure initiatives aimed at improving scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency
• Designs and supports hybrid cloud solutions integrating AWS services with on-premises systems
• Plays a key role in migrating legacy systems to modern cloud-based architectures
• Enhances automation, reduces manual intervention, and supports scalable infrastructure practices
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure with enterprise modernization goals
• Ensures compliance, security, and operational excellence across cloud and on-prem platforms
Job Duties
• Design, maintain, and optimize hybrid cloud platforms integrating AWS and on-prem infrastructure
• Administer AWS services including EC2, VPC, IAM, and S3 for enterprise workloads
• Develop hybrid workload architectures ensuring seamless identity and application integration
• Lead and support migration of legacy systems to AWS environments
• Create and maintain architecture diagrams and system documentation
• Provide senior-level support for escalated infrastructure issues
• Diagnose and resolve complex cloud, network, and identity-related problems
• Document troubleshooting processes, root causes, and mitigation strategies
• Monitor and optimize platform performance across compute, storage, and networking
• Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions
• Identify and implement cost optimization opportunities
• Maintain version-controlled documentation including IaC and operational standards
• Support CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation workflows
• Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize hybrid cloud workloads
• Develop and enforce infrastructure standards and automation practices
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for architecture and operational processes
• Support security and compliance initiatives across cloud and on-prem environments
• Implement AWS security controls including encryption, MFA, and network segmentation
• Produce audit documentation and compliance artifacts
• Develop operational guides, onboarding materials, and technical documentation
• Deliver architecture documentation and executive-level reporting.
Specific Details to Call Attention To
• This is a 100% onsite position
• US Citizens only
• Assignment expected to extend beyond 07/01/2026
• Multiple background checks required (DOM DOIT, DPS Level 2 prior to start, DPS Level 1 post-start)
• Continued employment is contingent upon clearing DPS Level 1 background check
• Strong AWS IAM and RBAC experience is required
• Experience with Ansible is preferred
• Strong understanding of FinOps (cost estimation and optimization) is critical
• Hybrid cloud experience (AWS + on-prem) is required
