Job Description
REQUIRED EDUCATION
• Advanced degree in a scientific or clinical discipline, such as PharmD, PhD, or MD, with relevant pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or clinical experience.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Strong understanding of peer-reviewed literature, consensus guidelines, and medical communications best practices.
• Proven ability to interpret, synthesize, and communicate complex scientific information to diverse audiences.
• Experience in medical information services, drug information, or medical communications within a pharma or biotech company.
• Strong problem-solving, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with an ability to collaborate across functions.
• Experience in medical training development and scientific content creation.
• Experience with budget management, team leadership, and stakeholder engagement.
• 2+ years of industry experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Prior launch experience is preferred.

SUMMARY
This role is responsible for supporting medical affairs communications strategy, ensuring timely and effective dissemination of scientific data to physicians, pharmacists, investigators, healthcare institutions, agencies, and patients. The Senior Manager Medical Affairs Communications will oversee the development of medical response documents and FAQs, medical review of promotional and US Medical Affairs materials, and cross-functional collaborations to support companies therapeutic portfolio.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Medical Information Strategy & Scientific Communications
• Lead the development, review, and dissemination of medical and scientific content supporting pharmaceutical and biological products.
• Ensure scientific communications are accurate, balanced, evidence-based, and aligned with peer-reviewed literature and consensus guidelines.
• Develop and maintain standardized response documents, FAQs, and other resources used to address medical inquiries.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to integrate medical insights into broader communication strategies.
• Translate complex scientific and clinical information into clear communications for a variety of internal and external audiences.

Medical Review & Promotional Content
• Conduct medical and scientific review of advertising, promotional materials, sales training, and field-based medical content.
• Serve as a Medical Affairs representative on the Promotional Review Team for assigned products or therapeutic areas.
• Ensure promotional and Medical Affairs materials are scientifically rigorous, accurate, balanced, and aligned with applicable standards and evidence.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to improve medical content development and review processes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
• Participate in Medical Affairs strategic planning for assigned products and therapeutic areas.
• Provide scientific and medical expertise to partners across Sales, Marketing, Clinical Research, Drug Safety, Legal, and other functions.
• Support planning and execution of Medical Affairs activities at major medical and scientific conferences.
• Engage with healthcare professionals, payers, and other external stakeholders to address medical inquiries and provide scientific support.
• Build strong partnerships across internal teams to support strategic Medical Affairs initiatives.

Medical Training & Knowledge Management
• Support the development and implementation of scientific and medical training materials for Sales, Medical Science Liaisons, Customer Care Services, and other internal teams.
• Develop educational resources that strengthen scientific knowledge across the organization.
• Maintain and optimize medical communications information systems to ensure clinical and scientific content remains current and accessible.

Data Analysis & Strategic Insights
• Analyze customer interaction and utilization data from Medical Communications channels to identify trends, patterns, and emerging insights.
• Present findings and recommendations to leadership to help shape future Medical Affairs communication strategies.
• Support the review and analysis of medical education grant proposals to ensure alignment with scientific and educational objectives.
