Job Description
Required Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent



Preferred Education:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field preferred



Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in medical claims processing, workers' compensation, patient registration, insurance verification, or a related healthcare administrative role

• Preferred 3–5 years of experience in a healthcare setting with direct experience handling workers' compensation cases, claims follow-up, and customer service

• Strong customer service and telephone communication skills with the ability to professionally manage a high volume of calls

• Experience with patient registration, data entry, and maintaining accurate records in a fast-paced healthcare environment

• Knowledge of workers' compensation processes, insurance verification, claims follow-up, and obtaining authorizations

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Teams required

• Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic preferred

• Familiarity with scheduling systems, document management, and basic reporting tools

• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines

Overview:

• Join a fast-paced healthcare team supporting workers' compensation operations in an ambulatory setting

• Ideal for candidates with experience in workers' compensation, medical claims processing, patient registration, and insurance verification

• Must be comfortable managing high call volumes, multiple priorities, and strict accuracy requirements while delivering excellent customer service



Job Summary:

• Support injured workers, employers, insurance carriers, and internal staff by coordinating workers' compensation cases

• Register patients, verify insurance information, and maintain accurate claim documentation

• Provide exceptional customer service while managing a high volume of calls and ensuring timely claims follow-up



Job Responsibilities:

• Answer incoming phone calls and assist injured workers, employers, adjusters, and internal staff with workers' compensation-related inquiries

• Register and intake new patients while creating and maintaining workers' compensation cases

• Ensure all required claim information is entered accurately into the appropriate systems

• Follow up with insurance carriers, third-party administrators, employers, and claims adjusters to obtain claim details, authorizations, and payment information

• Maintain accurate patient and claim documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems

• Utilize Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, and Epic (preferred) to support daily operations

• Deliver outstanding customer service while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Maintain quality, productivity, and accuracy standards
