POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our formulation and delivery team, where you will collaborate closely with research scientists to develop next-generation herbicide products. This role involves supporting both research and development activities as well as contributing to commercially launched products. You will evaluate the chemical and physical properties of various organic and inorganic substances, investigating their applications in formulated products while adhering to established guidelines and protocols.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in formulation development or a related area.
• Background that includes hands-on laboratory work beyond analytical chemistry
• Industrial experience in formulation development with pesticides, foods, cosmetics, consumer products, or paints and coatings (preferred)
REQUIRED SKILLS
• Hands-on laboratory experience with genuine interest in performing lab work
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in formulation science
• Proficiency in basic laboratory techniques and standard operating procedure
• Strong attention to detail and systematic approach to documentation
• Ability to work effectively under supervision and follow established protocol
• Competency in using various laboratory equipment and instrumentation
• Understanding of chemistry and chemical engineering principles, including mass-balance calculations
• Rheometer and interfacial measurement experience (preferred)
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Evaluate chemical and physical properties of organic and inorganic substances for formulated product applications
• Support research scientists in developing next-generation herbicide products
• Assist with research and development activities and provide support for commercially launched products
• Perform various laboratory projects following standard operating procedures and basic lab techniques
• Operate laboratory equipment including pH meters, mixers, agitators, homogenizers, and milling equipment
• Diligently record all laboratory tasks, procedures, and findings in the electronic laboratory notebook system
• Follow pre-established guidelines and instructions to complete assigned functions
• Conduct mass-balance calculations and apply chemistry and chemical engineering principles
