Job Description
Required Education:

• High School Diploma or GED



Preferred Education:

• BS or MS in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering



Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

• 1–2 years of experience in Hair Color/Care or Consumer Products formulation.

• Experience with data management tools such as Microsoft Excel

• Ability to lift bulk materials and perform hands-on laboratory work

• Ability to prepare laboratory samples and handle laboratory materials safely

• Knowledge of CGMP practices



Preferred Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

• Experience in consumer products formulation

• Familiarity with laboratory equipment, including pH meters, viscometers, and batching equipment



Hair Color Lab Technician Overview:

• Laboratory position supporting product formulation and testing for hair color products

• Responsible for preparing laboratory batches, performing stability testing, and evaluating color performance

• Role involves recording, analyzing, and reporting experimental results related to formulation stability and efficacy

• Requires hands-on work with laboratory equipment and raw materials in a controlled lab environment

• Supports product development through sample preparation, hair tress testing, and consumer product application

• Assists with laboratory organization, maintenance of materials and supplies, and compliance with CGMP practices



Job Duties:

• Prepare laboratory batches of hair color formulations

• Conduct product stability testing

• Evaluate color performance on prepared hair tresses

• Record, analyze, and report experimental results

• Use laboratory equipment, including pH meters, viscometers, and batching equipment

• Prepare and fill laboratory samples for testing and evaluation

• Apply consumer products to hair tresses for testing purposes

• Maintain laboratory raw materials, glassware, and supplies

• Manage laboratory waste according to procedures

• Assist in organizing and maintaining laboratory inventory

• Interact with raw material suppliers when required.
