Job Description
Qualifications:

• Demonstrated ability to process point-cloud data and generate 3D mesh files.

• Familiarity with software used in reality capture, 3D modeling, architecture, engineering, or construction.

• Understanding of spatial alignment, coordinate systems, and 3D geometry.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot data or modeling issues.

• Ability to complete assigned deliverables within an estimated 500–750-hour project commitment.



Preferred Experience and Skills:

• Experience supporting BIM, scan-to-BIM, or digital twin workflows.

• Experience assembling multiple scans or point-cloud datasets.

• Familiarity with one or more of the following tools:

• Leica Geosystems software, including PinPoint or Cyclone 3DR

- Autodesk Revit

- CloudCompare

- NavVis IVION

- FARO SCENE

- 3DReshaper

• Background in CAD, architectural technology, engineering technology, construction technology, surveying, or a related discipline.



Overview:

Support a project that focuses on converting and generating computer-aided designed (CAD) spaces. The project is in support of a broader process creating digital twins and is integral in getting point-cloud data from scanning tools to useable 3D mesh files, ready for digital twin creation.



Seeking a Point Cloud & 3D Modeling Specialist for a project supporting digital twin development. Convert and assemble laser-scan point clouds into usable 3D mesh files for downstream modeling. Relevant experience may include Leica Cyclone 3DR, CloudCompare, Autodesk Revit, NavVis IVION, FARO SCENE, or 3DReshaper.



Responsibilities:

• Convert point clouds to mesh files.

• This will require use of technical architecture, engineering, and construction software to assemble multiple point clouds to build a 3D mesh for building information modeling.



**Anticipated work commitment of 500-750hrs**
