Required Education:

• Bachelor's Degree



Required Skills:

• Strong finance and FP&A background

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

• Experience building forecast files/models and monthly reporting packages

• Ability to analyze variances and explain financial drivers clearly

• Experience creating financial close packages for executive leadership

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• Ability to independently manage reporting and forecasting processes

• Experience facilitating or participating in monthly business review meetings



Preferred Skills:

• Prior client's experience

• Prior SG&A finance experience.

• Experience with Essbase and/or SmartView

• Healthcare industry finance experience preferred



Overview

• Client is seeking an experienced finance contractor to support and enhance SG&A finance operations through improved forecasting, reporting, and close processes

• This individual will partner directly with the OptumRx SG&A Finance team and business leaders to create scalable, repeatable financial processes and executive-level reporting packages

• The ideal candidate will bring strong FP&A experience, advanced Excel capabilities, and the ability to analyze financial variances and communicate insights effectively to leadership stakeholders



Key Responsibilities

• Revamp and standardize forecast and close templates to create repeatable, efficient processes

• Develop and maintain SG&A forecast models and monthly P&L reporting

• Create executive-level close packages and supporting financial materials from scratch

• Analyze forecast-to-actual variances and provide clear commentary and business insights

• Support monthly close and forecast meetings with finance and operational leaders

• Partner with business stakeholders to review financial performance and identify trends

• Assist with updates and improvements to the OptumRx SG&A general ledger reporting structure

• Build reporting tools and files utilizing strong Excel-based modeling techniques

• Collaborate closely with the OptumRx SG&A Finance team to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy



Team Environment

• The contractor will work directly with the OptumRx SG&A Finance team in a collaborative and fast-paced environment

• This role requires a strong partnership with finance leadership and business stakeholders to help modernize and streamline core forecasting and close activities.
