• 3+ years of Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or related experience
• Experience gathering, documenting, and managing business and system requirements
• Experience producing requirements in BDD format
• Experience developing and running SQL queries
• Experience working in Agile environments utilizing Scrum and/or Kanban methodologies
• Experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, use cases, and functional requirements documentation
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives and priorities with limited direction
• Experience collaborating with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver technology solutions

Preferred Qualifications / Skills / Experience
• Insurance/Financial service experience
• 5+ years of Business Analysis or Business Systems Analysis experience
• Experience supporting enterprise technology, digital product, or customer-facing technology initiatives
• Knowledge of system integrations, APIs, data flows, databases, cloud-based platforms, and enterprise applications
• Insurance, financial services, wealth management, benefits administration, wellness technology, or related industry experience
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Experience leading through influence in a matrixed environment
• Experience mentoring Business Analysts or improving business analysis processes
• Continuous improvement mindset and ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments

Senior Business Analyst Overview
• Serves as a key liaison between business and technology teams to ensure successful delivery of strategic initiatives and technology solutions
• Partners with business stakeholders, product managers, architects, developers, quality engineers, and delivery teams to define business objectives and solution requirements
• Leads requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, validation, and traceability activities for medium-to-large initiatives
• Analyzes current and future business processes to identify opportunities for operational improvement, efficiency gains, risk reduction, and enhanced customer experiences
• Facilitates workshops, stakeholder discussions, discovery sessions, backlog refinement meetings, and requirements walkthroughs
• Develops business requirements, functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and supporting documentation
• Performs business, process, data, system, gap, impact, and risk analysis to support solution design and implementation decisions
• Supports all phases of the software development lifecycle, including planning, design, development, testing, implementation, and post-production support
• Participates in user acceptance testing, solution validation, defect management, and business readiness activities
• Works independently on complex initiatives while aligning multiple stakeholder groups and driving business outcomes
• Contributes to continuous improvement efforts and supports business analysis best practices across the organization

Job Duties
• Lead requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, validation, and traceability activities
• Partner with stakeholders to understand business objectives, challenges, opportunities, and success metrics
• Translate business needs into business requirements, functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Analyze current-state and future-state business processes
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and increase business value
• Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, backlog refinement sessions, stakeholder reviews, and requirements walkthroughs
• Perform business, process, system, data, gap, impact, and risk analysis
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Scrum Teams, Solution Architects, business SMEs, vendors, and technology leaders
• Support planning, design, development, testing, implementation, and post-production activities
• Participate in test planning, user acceptance testing, defect triage, and solution validation
• Assess risks and impacts and support prioritization discussions
• Guide less-experienced Business Analysts and contribute to business analysis process improvements
