Job Description
**Direct-hire Position**

Required Education:
• High School graduate, or equivalent.

Preferred Education:
• Associate degree in mechanical technology, electrical technology, or engineering science.

Required Qualifications/Experience/Skills:
• Overall work experience (years) 7-plus years’ mechanic experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Specification of the necessary graduation and vocational training considering recent educational requirements, which are needed to fulfil the above-mentioned tasks of the position.
• Necessary further training: Advanced technical knowledge of machine shop operations, welding, mechanical/electrical maintenance principles (shafts, bearings, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics, AC/DC motors, starters, contactors, three-phase power, PLCs) required.
• Ability to read blueprints, possess advanced mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills, and have production maintenance work experience.
• Initiative/motivation and communication skills required.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience/Skills:
• Necessary vocational training: Completion of a mechanical or electrical apprenticeship, or military technical training, strongly preferred.

Overview:
• Repair, maintain, and support equipment on both Aerosol and Hair Care Packaging lines to maximize productivity and quality, including changeovers, set-ups, installation, and adjustments. Advanced skills and knowledge of the repair and maintenance of electro-mechanical equipment, electric motors, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, conveyor systems, PLCs, bearings, shafts, production machines, and liquid filling equipment are required. A key aspect of this role is troubleshooting machine downtime events and utilizing root cause analysis techniques to identify and resolve issues at their source.
• The position is in the factory and could involve standing, walking, and lifting for long periods of time throughout the day. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Occasionally, this position may require the lifting and/or moving of more than 60 pounds. All lifting must comply with OSHA standards.

Responsibilities:
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain all packaging and support equipment to optimize efficiency and quality.
• Conducts line changeovers and makes necessary set-up and adjustments as required by the production schedule.
• Perform line alteration, rebuilding as necessary.
• Utilize data from both CMMS and MES to analyze and solve both routine and complex electrical and mechanical problems of processing, packaging, and auxiliary equipment.
• Assist manufacturing personnel on process-related problems
• Perform established Preventive Maintenance. Identify and correct mechanical/electrical maintenance issues found during the PM process.
• Assist Engineering on equipment installations.
• Repair and fabricate parts as required.
• Operate forklift trucks as required to move equipment or materials.
• Assist and train team members in simple adjustments and maintenance.
• Diagnose, repair, changeover, and maintain all packaging and support equipment to optimize efficiency and quality.
• Perform established Preventive Maintenance. Identify and correct mechanical/electrical maintenance issues found during the PM process.
• Continuous Improvements and problem-solving initiatives to include analyzing data to identify machine downtime issues and coming up with root cause and preventive measures.
• Train team members in simple adjustments and maintenance.
