Job Description
REQUIRED EDUCATION

• Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in agriculture, botany, biology, or closely related scientific field



REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds

• Ability to walk up to 0.5 miles daily without difficulty

• Willingness to travel, including occasional overnight trips within Missouri, Illinois, and Iowa

• Valid driver’s license required; driving company fleet vehicles may be required

• Familiarity with laboratory operations and biological research techniques

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment

• Comfortable working in laboratory, greenhouse, and outdoor field conditions



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience supporting biological or agricultural research projects

• Exposure to greenhouse or field-based experiments

• Strong technical and computer skills

• Experience with scientific data analysis and report generation



SUMMARY

Seeking a motivated Biologist to support innovative agricultural research and development initiatives in Chesterfield, MO. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a multidisciplinary, technology-driven organization focused on advancing modern agricultural science.



The ideal candidate will have a background in biology, agriculture, botany, or plant sciences and enjoy working in laboratory, greenhouse, and field research environments. This role offers valuable exposure to experiment execution, protocol development, scientific data collection, and plant biology research.



RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support execution of laboratory, greenhouse, and field experiments under guidance of senior scientists

• Assist with protocol development, experiment planning, and technical reporting

• Collect, organize, and analyze experimental data

• Support plant care and greenhouse operations as needed

• Handle plant specimens safely and according to established procedures

• Maintain accurate documentation and follow laboratory SOPs

• Participate in field research activities within and outside the St. Louis area

• Exposure to low-hazard laboratory chemicals including ethanol and germination media materials

*** Overnight travel up to 5% of time.
