Job Description
Required Education:
• Verifiable High School diploma or GED
Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
• Minimum 6 months experience in healthcare billing, reimbursement, collections practices, and/or infusion services
• Experience with computers, including 1+ years working with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
• Effective written and verbal customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to offer emotional support and empathy
• Flexibility with work schedule to meet business needs, including 8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM EST (Monday – Friday); shifts assigned at end of training based on business needs
Preferred Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
• 1 year of experience in healthcare billing, collections practices, and/or infusion services
• 1 year of experience in pharmacy billing and reimbursement
Inbound Patient Account Services Coordinator Overview:
• The Inbound Patient Account Services Coordinator advocates for patients by providing hands-on support throughout their healthcare journey
• This role requires a strong understanding of billing and reimbursement processes within specialty pharmacy services and a commitment to delivering empathetic, high-quality customer service
• The coordinator engages with patients to resolve billing inquiries, assist with payment plans, and support timely reimbursement
• Success in this role depends on collaboration, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex or sensitive situations with professionalism
• The position contributes to patient satisfaction and operational efficiency by documenting interactions, following up on concerns, and identifying potential trends to share with leadership
Job Duties:
• Develop a deep understanding of specialty pharmacy processes and how customer service impacts the patient experience from order to reimbursement
• Assist patients in navigating complex billing and reimbursement processes for timely resolution
• Build trusting relationships with patients through meaningful and relevant conversation
• Manage difficult or emotional situations, responding promptly with empathy and urgency
• Accurately document all patient interactions in the Revenue Cycle system
• Review, record, and follow up on patient concerns to resolution
• Gather and review patient information to determine eligibility for payment plans
• Meet call center metrics including call volume and quality
• Use technology to effectively collaborate with other departments
• Demonstrate an outgoing, professional, and caring presence over the telephone

• Onsite foundations training required for 3 days: 12/16 – 12/18, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Regular work hours: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM, Monday – Friday
