Job Description
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
Required Skills for the Benefits Analyst:
- Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience in a benefits, compensation, or HR analyst role.
- Must have advanced excel skills, experience with data reconciliation, troubleshooting, problem solving, and root cause analysis.
- Experience with HRIS system, data entry/retrieval, and analysis.
- Requires strong analytical skills, data reconciliation, and data analysis.
- Advanced Excel experience - able to write complex formulas, able to draw conclusions from data.
- Looking for strong emphasis with Benefits and Retirement experience.
Benefits Analyst Overview:
- Conduct data audits in benefits and compensation programs, work root cause analysis, and resolve discrepancies.
- Must possess strong analytical skills and problem-solving mindset. Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy of analysis.
- Responsible for retirement contribution data reconciliation and issue resolution.
- Write standard operating procedures /work instructions for tasks as assigned.
- Resolves benefits related to inquiries or issues for plan participants at various levels of complexity.
- Supports and has in depth knowledge in the administration of employee benefits programs which may include health, disability, welfare, mobility, and retirement plans; maintains compliance with plan design and government legislation.
- Contributes to organizational compliance with internal and external requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Audit data, conduct analysis, and resolve issues.
- Guides plan participants on benefits processes, investigates issues, and provides problem resolution.
- Responds timely to inquiries requiring interpretation of plan documents; provides recommendations to benefit related issues.
- Generates required internal and external reports for benefit program administration; supports analysis to evaluate benefit plan and strategy effectiveness and to support required legislative filings.
- Maintains benefit records and prepares documents necessary for implementing benefit coverage.
- Recommend improvements to administrative processes.
- Provides superior customer service—respond courteously, accurately and in a timely fashion to benefit questions and requests.
- Prepare materials for the delivery of training to employees and Line Human Resources.
- Serves as a contact between the external benefits suppliers, employee groups, and Line Human Resources.
