Required Education:
• Verifiable high school diploma or GED
Preferred Education:
• Education or experience equivalent to a four-year college degree
Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
• Minimum 1–3 years of related work experience
• Pharmacy credentialing experience including verification and documentation
• Proficiency in Adobe Pro, Qualtrics, Phloot, Microsoft Access, Excel, Outlook, and Word
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in a professional manner
• Direct communication experience with pharmacies via phone, email, and fax
• High data entry accuracy rate and speed
Credentialing Specialist Overview:
• The Credentialing Specialist supports pharmacy recredentialing activities by reviewing pharmacy submissions, performing primary source verification, and maintaining accurate documentation and tracking of recredentialing records
• This role responds to pharmacy inquiries, researches and resolves issues, and provides technical support related to online questionnaire submissions
• The position interfaces directly with the pharmacy community via phone, email, and fax, requiring clear, professional verbal and written communication
• Strong attention to detail, high data entry accuracy, and the ability to manage high volumes of incoming communications are essential
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access is required to support daily credentialing operations
Job Duties:
• Enter credentialing status and key details accurately
• Monitor high volumes of incoming email activity and respond in a timely manner
• Verify and document pharmacy credentialing status using primary sources
• Communicate with pharmacies to resolve issues via phone, email, and fax
• Provide technical support related to online questionnaire submissions
• Maintain accurate documentation and tracking of recredentialing records
• Perform related duties as directed
