Required Education//Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.



Preferred Education/ Certifications:

• Industry or relevant Quality Assurance/test automation certifications, such as ISTQB, are a plus.



Required Skills, Experience, & Abilities:

• 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance with a strong focus on test automation.

• Proficiency designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver, with Java as the primary programming language.

• Strong programming skills in at least one object-oriented language, such as Java, Python, or C#.

• Experience with test automation frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, Pytest, NUnit, or similar.

• Solid understanding and practical experience with the Page Object Model (POM) design pattern.

• Ability to design, write, and execute detailed manual test plans and test cases.

• Experience performing functional, integration, system, regression, smoke, and sanity testing.

• Experience conducting exploratory testing to uncover defects and usability issues.

• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.

• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.

• Experience with API testing using tools such as Postman or Swagger.

• Knowledge of SQL and experience writing and executing SQL queries for database validation and data integrity.

• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and testing methodologies.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Quality Assurance Automated Tester to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications through comprehensive manual and automated testing. The role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and reusable automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver in Java while also executing detailed manual test plans and cases. The successful candidate will apply software testing methodologies throughout the software development lifecycle, perform functional, integration, system, regression, smoke, sanity, exploratory, API, and database testing, and identify and report defects. The position requires collaboration with development, product, and QA teams to understand requirements and establish comprehensive test strategies. The tester will integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines, participate in test automation code reviews, analyze test results, and communicate product quality and defect status clearly to stakeholders. The role also emphasizes continuous improvement through research and adoption of testing tools, technologies, methodologies, and practices that increase QA efficiency and overall software quality.



Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with development, product, and QA teams to understand project requirements and define comprehensive test strategies.

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and reusable automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver in Java.

• Design, write, and execute detailed manual test plans and test cases.

• Perform functional, integration, system, regression, smoke, and sanity testing, leveraging automation where appropriate.

• Conduct exploratory testing to identify defects and usability issues not covered by formal test cases.

• Implement and maintain test automation frameworks, including Page Object Model, TestNG/JUnit, and Cucumber BDD.

• Execute automated tests, analyze results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams to resolve issues.

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps to support agile development practices.

• Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman or Swagger to validate backend services.

• Perform database validation by writing and executing SQL queries to ensure data integrity.

• Participate in code reviews of test automation scripts to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

• Provide clear and concise reporting on test progress, defect status, and overall product quality to stakeholders.

• Continuously research and implement new testing tools, technologies, and methodologies to improve QA efficiency and effectiveness.

• Contribute to improving overall software quality processes and practices within the team.
