Job Description
Minimum Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or technical certification preferred
Minimum Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in automotive service, reconditioning, or dealership service operations.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and cosmetic repair processes.
- Project management skills with the ability to track multiple vehicles and workflows.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating between technicians and corporate staff.
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to escalate issues quickly.
Other Job-Specific Skills:
- Proficiency with MS Office is expected, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Responsibilities:
- Project Management:
- Monitor daily progress of vehicles in the recon pipeline, ensuring cycle times stay within target.
- Coordinate with partner technicians, body shops, and parts suppliers to resolve delays or bottlenecks
- Coordinate inspections to ensure reconditioning work meets OEM quality and CPO certification
standards. Communicate the results of inspections internally prior to releasing vehicles for auction sale 50%
Documentation:
- Track reconditioning costs per unit to ensure alignment with program targets.
- Document and report issues related to mechanical, cosmetic, or operational deficiencies.
- Provide regular reporting to the home office on volume, cost, and turnaround time. 15%
Communication:
- Act as primary onsite liaison between Honda home office, reconditioning facility, and outside vendors
- Ensure that team members and management are regularly informed of project progress and any key issues that arise. 35%
- Clearly communicate any possible change in project direction based on new learnings or changes to the environment impacting project plans. · Collaborate with the home office team members to flag recurring issues that may affect overall program success.

The Lifecycle Business Development unit is specifically focused on creating additional value around used Honda vehicles. Our mission is to identify pain points or market inefficiencies in the used car market that American Honda Motor, as an automotive OEM, can uniquely address with new business models.
The Reconditioning Coordinator oversees daily operations at the auction reconditioning facility, serving as the critical link between technicians, facility management, outside vendors, and the home office. This role ensures vehicles are inspected and reconditioned on time, within budget, and to OEM standards, to get vehicles ready for sale as a pre-certified used vehicle.
In order to be successful in this role, the Reconditioning Coordinator should have experience working in automotive service, bodyshop, reconditioning, or dealership operations. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of mechanical and cosmetic repair processes and can speak comfortably with technicians to move the project forward. - **Only those lawfully authorized to work in the designated country associated with the position will be considered.**
