Job Description
***Only qualified Assembler candidates located near the Milpitas, CA area to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence***
Required Education
• High School Diploma or equivalent
Desired Education
• Associate of Science (A.S.) degree or vocational instruction in Electro-Mechanical Assembly preferred
Required Experience
• 2+ years of related experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment
• Experience in electro-mechanical assembly
• Experience working in a medical device manufacturing organization
• Experience building laser-based optical systems, fluidic systems, and digital/analog circuitry
• Experience using hand tools in an assembly environment
• Experience reading assembly instructions, work orders, Bills of Materials, and Standard Operating Procedures

Physical Demands

Responsibilities
• Perform electro-mechanical assembly of flow cytometers, sub-assemblies, and related medical device products
• Follow released procedures and established assembly methods
• Perform in-process inspections to ensure products meet specifications and standards
• Generate required documentation to complete Device History Records
• Read and understand assembly instructions, work orders, Bills of Materials, Standard Operating Procedures, and related documentation
• Communicate with engineers, technicians, and production personnel regarding assembly procedures
• Support new product introductions and assist with assembly method development
• Provide feedback on production methods, product quality, and process improvements
• Support projects focused on quality improvement, cost reduction, reliability improvement, and operational efficiency
• Assist in creating and updating process and product documentation
• Collect, document, and review production measurements and data
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Complete timesheets, training records, and required documentation accurately and on time
• Perform other duties as assigned
