Job Description
Required Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a Related Field and 7 Years of Enterprise, Solutions, and/or Technical Architecture Experience

OR

• High School Diploma/GED and 11 Years of Enterprise, Solutions, and/or Technical Architecture Experience



Preferred Certifications:

• Certifications in the technology domain of the enterprise



Required Skills and Experiences:

• Experience with enterprise, solutions, and/or technical architecture

• Experience with N-tier architectures and complex design architectures

• Experience with Agile methods

• Experience with technical, application, and information architecture delivery techniques and methodologies

• Ability to manage solution architectures from conception through production

• Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions

• Experience designing and modeling solution architectures

• Experience collaborating with business, technology, enterprise architecture, and cybersecurity teams

• Experience designing deployment strategies and scalable architectural solutions

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code

• Experience improving application operational efficiency

• Experience designing physical and logical solution architectures

• Experience supporting observability and secure-by-design solutions

• Experience creating service level objectives and agreements

• Experience providing consultation on complex projects

• Experience coaching and mentoring junior architects



Preferred Skills and Experiences:

• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, platforms, and cloud-native serverless architectures (AWS, Azure)

• Knowledge of containers and container orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift)

• Knowledge of instrumentation, telemetry, and observability platforms (OpenTelemetry, DynaTrace, Splunk)

• Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems such as Salesforce

• Understanding of Middleware, .NET, Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE), Oracle, and related technologies

• Hands-on programming experience with Java, Go, C#, Rust, Python, or similar languages

• Advanced knowledge of security design techniques

• Ability to document designs using BPMN and UML



Overview / Summary:

• Lead the design, development, and lifecycle management of enterprise solution architectures

• Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and technology-aligned architectural solutions

• Collaborate with business and technical teams to deliver enterprise architecture initiatives that align with organizational standards and roadmaps

• Position is exempt from overtime pay under the Fair Labor Standards Act



Senior Enterprise Solutions Architect Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage solution architectures from conception through delivery into production

• Partner with business and technology subject matter experts to translate business requirements into technical solutions

• Participate in architecture design and modeling for project delivery and support

• Collaborate with domain architects to deliver scalable and adaptable architecture solutions

• Develop architectural roadmaps aligned with business and technology priorities

• Promote the reuse of services, frameworks, components, and Infrastructure as Code

• Support deployment strategy and solution design

• Identify opportunities to simplify code, architectures, and vendor dependencies

• Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with technical decision makers

• Recommend improvements to application operational efficiency and program effectiveness

• Lead the design of physical and logical solution architectures

• Ensure compliance with enterprise architectural principles and standards

• Collaborate with Cyber Security to address network, application, and data security requirements

• Work with stakeholders to understand non-functional requirements affecting solution architecture

• Ensure solutions are observable and secure by design

• Collaborate with business stakeholders and site reliability teams to establish service level objectives and agreements

• Provide consultation on complex projects

• Coach and mentor junior architects
