Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience

• 5 years of IT experience

• Experience with ticketing systems and knowledge bases, including ServiceNow or Jira

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel

• Experience with the Guidewire Suite

• Ability to analyze low- to moderate-complexity technical and business problems using knowledge of industry operations, products, processes, data, architecture, vendor integration, and application connectivity

• Ability to provide clear, timely, and professional communication to internal customers regarding their tickets

• Ability to collaborate with senior team members and other support teams to identify defects and assess user impact

• Ability to learn and understand new functionality implemented in monthly releases

• Ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement

• Ability to adhere to metric-driven objectives, such as time to resolve and number of closures per day

• Ability to participate daily in required team and support group meetings

• Ability to think creatively and “outside the box”

• Experience writing clear technical “how-to” guides

Application Support Specialist Overview

• The Application Support Specialist will provide technical and business application support in a fully remote environment.

• The role requires 5 years of IT experience and experience working with ticketing systems and knowledge bases such as ServiceNow and Jira

• The specialist will work with the Guidewire Suite and use knowledge of industry operations, products, processes, data, architecture, vendor integration, and application connectivity to analyze low- to moderate-complexity technical and business problems

• The position requires clear, timely, and professional communication with internal customers regarding tickets and collaboration with senior team members and other support teams to identify defects and assess user impact

• The specialist will learn and understand new functionality implemented through monthly releases and identify opportunities for continuous improvement

• Success in the role requires adherence to metric-driven objectives, including time to resolve and number of closures per day, as well as participation in daily team and support group meetings

• The ideal candidate will be able to think creatively and “outside the box” and write clear technical “how-to” guides

• Insurance industry experience and experience conducting user access reviews are preferred, while experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate, is a plus
