Application Technical Specialist Overview
The Application Technical Specialist supports large-scale technology rollout projects by providing first-level technical assistance to field technicians, vendors, and contractors implementing hardware and systems in retail locations. This is a technical call center role (non-customer facing) where the specialist handles inbound and outbound calls, troubleshoots issues in real-time, and ensures proper execution of technology implementations. The role also involves updating tracking systems, validating system changes, and coordinating across multiple projects running in different time zones.
Job Duties
• Provide first-level support to field technicians and vendors during installations
• Troubleshoot hardware and system-related issues
• Ensure adherence to implementation protocols and procedures
• Handle inbound calls via queue and make outbound calls as needed
• Communicate clearly and professionally with technicians and stakeholders
• Support multiple rollout projects simultaneously
• Update internal tracking applications with issue details and resolutions
• Perform system validations and data updates
• Communicate updates via:
• Email
• Excel
• Internal tools
• Support technology rollout initiatives across multiple locations
• Adapt to changing priorities and schedules
• Work across different time zones and project timelines
